CURRICULUM OVERVIEW

Green room is a sessional room based around early learning funding for two-year olds. Sessions are held in the morning however funding can be flexible across the week, but children would be based in Purple room. This room is staffed on a 1:4 ratio.  

Daily activities are planned for using knowledge of the gaps in children’s development and their interests. Staff use Development Matters to look at age related objectives to meet the children’s needs. Rooms have a range of curriculum areas including creative, construction, reading, role play, exploratory areas and sand/water play.  

Through a wide range of play activities, we encourage children to explore their environment. Children experience sessions in the sensory room and outdoor forest area as part of their learning and staff collect observations and photos of the children’s experiences.  

Parents/carers have access to ‘Famly’ where daily feedback is provided for routines, mealtimes, toileting and general observations.
