Helpful Information
BELONGINGS
Please help staff by ensuring that all your child’s clothing, including shoes, coats, jackets and hats are marked with their full name. Staff cannot be responsible for Children’s belongings.
JEWELLERY
Children should not wear any jewellery in the interest of safety to themselves and the other children.
SPARE CLOTHING
Your child will be involved in wet and messy activities such as painting and water play, aprons will be provided, however, these may not protect all of your child's clothing. We ask that several changes of clothing be provided for such instances and these are refreshed regularly, particularly where your child is toilet training. Wipes should be provided to the setting until your child is consistently dry.
OUTDOOR CLOTHING
Suitable outdoor clothing and footwear for cold/wet weather, and a change of footwear should be provided. Wellies and a raincoat can be stored within the setting to enable your child to explore the garden in ALL Weathers (as recommended by OFSTED and The Early Years Foundation Stage).
SUN PROTECTION
In order to protect your child from the sun we ask all parents to provide a sun hat and sun cream. Footwear should not limit the children’s exploration and learning experiences, therefore full shoes are required at all times, boots should not be worn whilst in the setting.
ABSENCE
If your child is unwell and will not be attending the setting please phone the office and inform the staff or leave a message. If your child is of school age but is absent, please inform both the setting and school regarding their absence.
